The Universim is a 2024 indie simulation god game developed and published by Crytivo for Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Designed by Alexander Koshelkov, it has the player take the role of God to guide the development of civilization throughout the ages. Development was funded by a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in April 2014. The Universim was released in early access for Steam in 2018.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are open world and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 60 achievements to unlock.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for 2.6 Ghz - 4 Cores Mid Range CPU or Higher, 16 GB RAM and GTX 780/880M/960/1050Ti/1660/2060 or AMD R9 290 / RX 570. Intel Graphics not supported.. A 16GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Install size is roughly 20GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
