The Forest Cheat Codes
Grouped by type and platform, each one labelled reported working or tested.
There are 33 cheat codes for The Forest across PC (Microsoft Windows). Each code below lists the exact button combination or console command, what it does, and whether using it disables achievements.
Console commands
33Add All Items
Gives one of every normal item (story items excluded; run it twice to also fill carry bags)
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Add All Story Items
Gives one of every story item, such as keycards
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Add every item
Fills your inventory with one of everything.
Requires developer mode first.
Add Item by ID
Adds the item with that numeric ID to your inventory, e.g. additem 77
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Add Live Rabbit
Puts a live rabbit in your hand, which can be placed into a rabbit cage
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Brighten Caves
Floods caves with daylight-level brightness
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Build instantly
Structures complete without materials.
Requires developer mode first.
Builder Mode Combo
Combo cheat: turns on buildhack and godmode, turns off survival and enemies, and adds all non-story items
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Complete All Blueprints
Instantly completes every placed building blueprint (can be very loud with many placed)
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Delete All Blueprints
Deletes every placed building blueprint (can be very loud with many placed)
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Disable All Cheats
Switches every active cheat off at once
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Enable developer mode
Typed on the title screen, this enables the console.
Type it on the main menu, then press F1 in game.
Enemies Only at Night
Hostile creatures spawn only at night
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Enemies Only in Caves
Hostile creatures spawn only inside caves
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Fell Trees
Fells a chosen number or percentage of trees, e.g. cutdowntrees 10

Force Weather
Forces the weather: light, medium, heavy, cloud or sunny — heavy rain fills water collectors, e.g. forcerain heavy

God Mode
Take no damage; stamina, fullness, water and energy stay full
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Ignore Survival Needs
While off, hunger, thirst and rest needs are ignored

Indestructible Structures
Makes player-built structures indestructible; type it again to toggle off. Also available in game Options

Infinite Items
Items you already carry never run out, but you must own the item first
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Kill All Animals
Kills every animal in the world, though they will respawn
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Kill All Enemies
Wipes out all cannibals and mutants, though they will respawn; does not kill worms

Permanent Death
Enables permanent death — dying erases the save; type again to disable

No longer works in the latest Steam build
Regrow Trees
When you sleep, 10% of felled trees regrow, as long as the stumps remain. Also available in game Options

Repair Dug Holes
Repairs holes dug with the hole cutter or crane
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Save Anywhere
Saves the game wherever you are currently standing

Skip Plane Crash Intro
Skips the opening plane-crash sequence
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Spawn All Pickups
Spawns every pickable item in the world around the player
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Super Sprint
Sprinting becomes extremely fast, with big airtime
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Can be buggy and cause fall damage
Toggle Enemy Spawning
Switches cannibal and mutant spawning off or on
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Unlimited Building
Grants unlimited building resources and near-instant construction
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Unlock Developer Console
Unlocks the developer console; typed blind at the main title screen with no on-screen confirmation
Type developermodeon at the main menu, then press F1 for the console
Walk Underwater
Walk or run underwater as if on land; water stops washing blood, mud and paint off (rain still does)
