Why Is My Cheat Not Working?
Answer a few questions about your copy of the game and get the specific reason a code or console command is failing — taken from our own guides, with the source linked. If our guides do not cover your case, it says so.
A cheat code that does nothing is usually fine — the copy of the game is different from the one it was written for. It may need a console switched on first, be the wrong platform's code, run in a mode that disables cheats such as GTA Online or Ironman, or belong to another version. Answer four questions and this tool names which.
Games it covers
Each game is here because one of our guides or cheat pages documents how its cheats fail. Games are added when that is true, not before.

How it decides
Every answer is a rule written from one of our published guides, and each result links the guide it came from. The most specific rule for your answers wins. When nothing we have written settles your case, the tool says that instead of reaching for a general answer that might be wrong for your copy.
Where a quoted command has been entered and confirmed by us, the result says Tested by us; otherwise it is marked Reported working. What the difference means is on the tested codes page.
Limits
It covers single-player cheats and console commands only. It cannot see your game, so it cannot detect a mod conflict, a corrupted install or a platform update newer than September 2026. It never suggests third-party cheat software, which risks a ban in any online game.
