What Slay the Horde is
Slay the Horde is a card & board game game developed by Regretware and released in 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Slay the Horde is a roguelike deckbuilder about building a screen-clearing engine of destruction. Build a deck of spells, stack upgrades, abuse elemental effects, and annihilate increasingly unreasonable numbers of goblins.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action and fantasy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GTX 960 / AMD Radeon R9 380 (2–4 GB VRAM). An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Slay the Horde launched on 9 September 2026, within three weeks of Marvel's Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control Resonant and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
Released around the same time: Marvel's Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control Resonant, Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
