What Owlbound Tomes is
Owlbound Tomes is an indie game developed by AFIL Games and released in 2026. It is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Microsoft Windows).
The premise, in the publisher's words
Get ready to enter a magical library where even the paths can disappear! In Owlbound Tomes, you follow a small owl librarian on a mission to recover runaway magical books, deliver them to the correct Book Return Tables, and finally reach her cozy perch. But there is one important detail: the paths are not permanent. Some tiles collapse after one passage, others survive two, while special tiles can withstand up to three crossings. Every movement must be planned carefully, because a path used too early may simply disappear when you need it most. Before starting, study the board, connect the paths, arrange the movable tiles, and think about the best order for collecting and returning each…
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are fantasy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
