What it launched against
The Mermaid Mask launched on 16 July 2026, within three weeks of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Beast of Reincarnation, Halo: Campaign Evolved and Big Walk. It reviewed better than 2 of the 4. It arrived 6 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Beast of Reincarnation, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Big Walk.
