What it launched against
Kynseed launched on 6 December 2022, within three weeks of Pentiment, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Chained Echoes and World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. It reviewed better than 3 of the 4. It arrived 2 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Pentiment, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Chained Echoes, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
