Quest reward (Dahlminator) is granted regardless, so the chest loot is only a bonus

Unlimited Golden Keys via read-only profile

Reuse Golden Keys without losing them

Close the game, set Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData\<id>\profile.bin to Read-Only, open keys in-game, then fully exit to have the key count restored

Did this work for you?

Uncheck Read-Only when done — playing long sessions with it read-only can risk progress/save issues

Easter eggs

2

Extra Wubs Konami code

Unlocks the "Extra Wubs" option in the gameplay options menu

Enter the Konami code on the title screen; option appears under gameplay options

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Extra Wubs literally does nothing in gameplay

Minecraft Creepers cave in Caustic Caverns

Hidden cave full of exploding Creepers (incl. Badass Creeper) that drop Minecraft heads/skins and themed guns (Longbow, Blockhead)

After Chapter 9, go to Caustic Caverns, head northwest to Guardian Ruins; punch through the breakable Minecraft dirt/stone/coal blocks near the mine carts to enter

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Creepers explode like in Minecraft — kill them before they reach you

Secrets

1

Thousand Cuts rooftop red chest

Hard-to-reach red weapon chest at the Slab base area

Climb the stairs at the slab base, head east along the building's edge to the SE corner, climb onto the top of the bridge, and follow it to the chest

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Platforming required — falls are easy on the bridge walk

Trophies & achievements

1

Thresher Thrashed (Thresher achievement)

Kill Terramorphous the Invincible

After beating the final boss and credits, take the mission "You. Will. Die. (Seriously.)" from Tannis, then enter Terramorphous Peak in Thousand Cuts

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Each entry costs 8 Eridium; recommended level 50+ with a full 4-player team — if the whole party dies, the boss heals to full

Tips

2

Fast Badass Tokens via challenge farming

Duel a friend and melee-kill each other 50 times, revive each other 50 times, or trade items 50 times (trades count even if nothing is traded)

Best done early-game with shields and mods unequipped so duels end in one melee

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Loot midget farming (Doctor's Orders)

Repeated loot midget spawns dropping legendaries/E-Tech relics in Wildlife Exploitation Preserve

Accept the "Doctor's Orders" quest from Tannis but do NOT pick up any Echolog recorders; go to Specimen Maintenance, open the boxes in the storage room by the elemental Badass Skag, then Save & Quit and repeat

PC Reported working
Did this work for you?

Picking up any Echolog reduces the loot midget spawn rate
