Trove is an adventure game developed by Trion Worlds and released in 2015. It is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac and PC (Microsoft Windows).
The premise, in the publisher's words
Trove is a voxel-based sandbox game inspired by Minecraft developed and published by Trion Worlds. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and macOS in July 2015, and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in March 2017 and Nintendo Switch in June 2021.
How it plays
It is played from a third person perspective. Its themes are 4x (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate), action, fantasy and open world. It supports multiplayer for up to 60 players online. Available modes: Co-operative, Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO), Multiplayer and Single player. There are 19 achievements to unlock.

What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-2XXX @ 2.0GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 @ 2.6GHz, 1 GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 3000 or better. At 1GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 1GB.
What it launched against
Trove launched on 9 July 2015, within three weeks of Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocket League, God of War III Remastered and Her Story. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 2 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
