What Light-It Up is
Light-It Up is an adventure game developed by Crazy Labs by TabTale and released in 2018. It is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Unity.
The premise, in the publisher's words
It’s a dark world out there for a teeny little stickman like you, and it’s about time you light it up. Jump, flip and slide from one neon shape to another to make them glow. Collect stars as you play to raise your score. Just when you start to feel like a stickman boss, things get complicated (or “sticky,” if you will) as you pass levels. Shapes start moving, rotating and even exploding, and lethal spikes become a constant threat to your poor little stickman life. If you miss a jump or hit a spike… you fall into oblivion! Ready to light it up?
How it plays
It is played from a side view perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What it launched against
Light-It Up launched on 16 December 2018, within three weeks of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Gris, Dusk and Ashen. It arrived 5 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Gris, Dusk, Ashen.
