What Skelattack is

The premise, in the publisher's words
For centuries, mankind has traveled the land to raid dungeons for riches and glory. This is not their story. You are Skully, an enchanted skeleton, living in the deepest part of the dungeon. You awaken to the terrible sound of the alarm bell, letting you know that intruders have been seen within the dungeon. Joined by your helpful bat companion Imber and armed with magic, you exit into the sewers of the dungeon, sword in hand, to begin your hunt. Why are they here? No intruders can be left alive to tell of this place.
How it plays
It is played from a side view perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
How it was received
Skelattack holds a critic score of 77 out of 100. That places it above 56% of the 7,525 rated adventure games in our database, which average 72. Games released in 2020 averaged 73, so it scored 4 points above the year average.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM and GeForce 9800GTX+ (1GB). At 4GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 1GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Skelattack launched on 2 June 2020, within three weeks of The Last of Us Part II, Valorant, Desperados III and Deep Rock Galactic. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 7 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: The Last of Us Part II, Valorant, Desperados III, Deep Rock Galactic.
