The premise, in the publisher's words
A note has been left on her desk talking of "the ancient evil" and "banishment to a different realm." The eldritch tome and an untranslated scrap she had been studying act as the only clues to her disappearance. Use clues found in the book to translate an ancient language, evade the lurking horrors, and solve the mystery of the strange objects around you!
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are horror, mystery and thriller. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.

Exiled launched on 18 January 2024, within three weeks of Helldivers 2, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Persona 3 Reload and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It arrived 7 years into the Nintendo Switch's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
