Brotato is an arcade game developed by Blobfish and released in 2023. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS, Mac and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Godot.

A spaceship from Potato World crashes onto an alien planet. The sole survivor: Brotato, the only potato capable of handling 6 weapons at the same time. Waiting to be rescued by his mates, Brotato must survive in this hostile environment.

How it plays

It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action, science fiction and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player. There are 179 achievements to unlock.

A full completion run takes around 58.6 hrs.

What you need to run it

The minimum specification calls for 2 Ghz, 4 GB RAM and 128MB, OpenGL 3+. At 4GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today.

Brotato launched on 28 March 2023, within three weeks of Resident Evil 4, Dredge, Figment 2: Creed Valley and Wartales. It arrived 3 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
