What WRC 7 is
WRC 7 is a racing game developed by Kylotonn Games and released in 2017. It was published by Bigben Interactive. It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Microsoft Windows).
The premise, in the publisher's words
WRC, short for World Rally Championship, is a rally racing video game series. Licensed from the World Rally Championship organization, games in the series through 2025 were developed by Codemasters and published by EA Sports. EA, who had acquired Codemasters in 2021, opted to suspend further development of the series in April 2025, leading to the WRC organization to license the rights to further WRC games through Nacon by May 2027.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. It supports multiplayer for up to 8 players online. Local play supports 2 players. Available modes: Multiplayer and Single player. There are 41 achievements to unlock.
How it was received
WRC 7 holds a critic score of 75 out of 100. That places it above 59% of the 1,168 rated racing games in our database, which average 68. Games released in 2017 averaged 71, so it scored 4 points above the year average.
How long it takes, and what that costs
A full completion run takes around 76 hrs.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel i3 4th generation @ 3.0GHz / AMD A8 or better, 4 GB RAM and Nvidia GT 730 / AMD HD 5600 or better. At 4GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 19GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it costs, and where
The cheapest verified price right now is $1.99 at WinGameStore, 90% below its usual price. Across the 4 stores we track, the same game ranges up to $4.00 — a spread of $2.01 for an identical product.
What it launched against
WRC 7 launched on 15 September 2017, within three weeks of Destiny 2, Cuphead, Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Divinity: Original Sin II. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 4 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Destiny 2, Cuphead, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Divinity: Original Sin II.
