The premise, in the publisher's words
UNWORTHY is a hardcore combat-focused platformer without jumping. Play as a warrior, risen from the grave. Equipped with sword and shield, you must traverse a bleak and hostile world swarming with creatures of nightmare. Your patience, determination and skill will be put to the test, as you fight against epic bosses, uncover powerful weapons and abilities, and attempt to prove your worth.
How it plays
It is played from a side view perspective. Its themes are action and fantasy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 29 achievements to unlock.
How it was received
Unworthy holds a critic score of 75 out of 100. That places it above 49% of the 7,525 rated adventure games in our database, which average 72. Games released in 2018 averaged 69, so it scored 6 points above the year average.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM and GeForce 9800GTX+ (1GB). At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 2GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Unworthy launched on 29 May 2018, within three weeks of Detroit: Become Human, Detroit: Become Human, Dark Souls: Remastered and Vampyr. It reviewed better than 1 of the 4. It arrived 1 year into the Nintendo Switch's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Detroit: Become Human, Detroit: Become Human, Dark Souls: Remastered, Vampyr.
