The Maw is an adventure game developed by Twisted Pixel and released in 2009. It was published by Microsoft Game Studios. It is available on Xbox 360 and PC (Microsoft Windows).
The premise, in the publisher's words
The Maw is set in a futuristic universe. The game begins with Frank, a pacifist bipedal alien, and The Maw, a purple one-eyed creature with large teeth, both having been captured by the Galactic Bounty Hunters. For unknown reasons the ship on which they are being held crash lands on a strange planet, killing all the crew. Alone, they set out for a communications tower in the distance while on the run from additional Galactic Bounty Hunters who have come to recapture them.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action, comedy and science fiction. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 15 achievements to unlock.

What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for AMD® Athlon® 64 2.2 GHz or equivalent, 1024 MB RAM and Nvidia® Geforce® 7600 256 MB or equivalent, (ATI® 2400 worked just as well).
