What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel® Core™ i5 2300 or AMD FX4350, 4 GB RAM and Direct X 11.0 compliant video card with 1GB RAM (NVIDIA® GeForce® 560 or AMD Radeon™ 6870). At 4GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. It also needs around 150GB of free storage, which is a real consideration on a 512GB drive. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
The Elder Scrolls Online launched on 4 April 2014, within three weeks of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Infamous: Second Son, Monument Valley and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. All of them reviewed better. It was a PlayStation 5 launch-window title.
Released around the same time: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Infamous: Second Son, Monument Valley, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
