The premise, in the publisher's words
The classic couch competitive gameplay of games like Bomberman taken to the extreme. Place bombs, get out of the way, destroy your friends, collect powerups, 'splode your way to victory in smooth multiplayer with virtually unlimited local players!
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action and party. It supports multiplayer for up to 32 players online. Available modes: Co-operative and Multiplayer.

Splody launched on 21 March 2017, within three weeks of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition. It arrived 4 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
