The premise, in the publisher's words
Skate, known colloquially as Skate 4, is a free-to-play skateboarding video game developed by Full Circle and published by Electronic Arts. It is a soft reboot of and the fourth main entry in the Skate series, focused on delivering a sandbox-style multiplayer experience. The game launched in early access on September 16, 2025.
How it plays
It is played from a third person perspective. Its themes are action, open world and sandbox. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO), Multiplayer and Single player. There are 21 achievements to unlock.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-6600k or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, 8 GB RAM and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 460 (4GB). An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 25GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Skate. launched on 16 September 2025, within three weeks of Ghost of Yotei, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f. It arrived 5 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
