The premise, in the publisher's words
As a researcher hired recently at the Institute, the days drone on with pointless busywork. But when a facility-wide emergency is suddenly declared and the Site Burial protocol -- the ultimate killswitch -- is initialized, it becomes all too clear that your chances of survival had just become very, very slim. Yet through pure dumb luck, you survive, along with a stranger you can't quite seem to place. ... There's something he's not telling you.
