The premise, in the publisher's words
This new version of Railworks contains a range of new features and enhancements, including enhanced menus, the new RS Cab Control driver interface and new RS Career System scenarios. RailWorks 2 features the same routes and content as the original game, and only one new route: TestTraK, based on the Test and validation centre, Wegberg-Wildenrath, a German testing facility that is used to test the performance and driving characteristics of the trains.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.

Railworks 2: Train Simulator launched on 18 October 2010, within three weeks of Fallout: New Vegas, Super Meat Boy, Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition and God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
