The premise, in the publisher's words
A Y2K Research Group [a systemic bug affecting computer equipment due to the millennium change in the year 2000] accidentally opened a portal to the Backrooms. Your mission is now focused on exploring, identifying and securing this unknown area and minimising the possible consequences of the other side of this reality on our own. Your objective is to enter the portal to the Backrooms at the controls of QUO, the autonomous robot explorer charged with this mission. You will report to two agents: Agent Dana, in charge of the engineering unit. She herself implemented the new system for sending and receiving samples. And Agent Fox, the biologist investigating the unusual behaviour of the hives…
