What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i3-4130 or equivalent with 4 hardware threads, 6 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB, or equivalent DX11 compatible GPU with 2GB of memory. An 6GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 30GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Need for Speed launched on 3 November 2015, within three weeks of Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone and Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 2 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone, Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition.
