What Monolith: Dark Matter is
Monolith: Dark Matter is an unreleased indie game in development at Netherlate Games, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
A round-based FPS for 1–4 players set inside the Monolith — a brutalist complex shaped by living black matter. Fight escalating waves of its marionettes, earn points to unlock new sectors and build your arsenal, and uncover the route to a final encounter.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Multiplayer and Single player.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Quad-core CPU, such as Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 3, 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 20GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
