What Minesweeper: Next-Gen is
Minesweeper: Next-Gen is an indie game developed by Astrophoros and released in 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only. It runs on Construct 3.
The premise, in the publisher's words
This isn’t the Minesweeper you’re used to! In Minesweeper: Next-Gen, you’ll explore boards built from a variety of geometric tessellations. Boundaries can wrap around, tiles can split, and parts of the map can even contain the map itself. Rely on pure logic to gradually uncover all safe areas.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are comedy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i3 or equivalent, 2048 MB RAM and Integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics or equivalent). At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
