What Lunar Lander is
Lunar Lander is an arcade game developed by Crozza Remakes and released in 2011. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Lunar Lander is a fan remake of the 1979 Atari game with the same name. We wasted a lot of quarters on Lunar Lander back in the day. We have to go from memory (ugh), but it seems like the thruster sounds are different and initial landing a little more difficult than we remember. We also remember being able to rotate the ship 360 degrees. That said, it's still pretty close to the original and a great time waster. Use your left and right arrow keys to rotate the lander and the arrow down to thrust. Joysticks are supported. Like all Crozza Games, the game is portable, so no installation is needed.
What it launched against
Lunar Lander launched on 31 December 2011, within three weeks of Age of Empires III: Complete Collection, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Released around the same time: Age of Empires III: Complete Collection, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Final Fantasy XIII-2.
