The premise, in the publisher's words
Set 2 years after the end of the Jinki: Shinsetsu Complete Edition. Ryohei Ogawara woke up in a hospital with complete amnesia, even his own name. In search of clues for recover, he arrived in Kyoto and was welcomed by a group of girls who were part of an organization called Angel. He would end up living together with the three girls: the friendly Aoba Tsuzaki, the reserved Akao Hiragi, and the openly-hostile Kanae Mitsumiya. He thought that life is all right living with cute girls, but it would soon all be turned upside down by the existence of large humanoid robots called “Jinki ”.

Its themes are erotic. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.

Jinki Resurrection launched on 25 February 2021, within three weeks of Little Nightmares II, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Loop Hero and The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante. It arrived 8 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
