The premise, in the publisher's words
The game takes place on Savvy Islands, an archipelago of once tropical islands that are now all covered in the world's litter. It is the players job to save the islands animals by clearing up the litter and rescuing the animals along the way.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action, educational, kids and open world. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What it launched against
Island Saver launched on 12 May 2020, within three weeks of Valorant, Deep Rock Galactic, Streets of Rage 4 and Tetris Effect: Connected. It arrived 7 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
