The premise, in the publisher's words
A zombie outbreak wiped out civilization as we know it. Hordes of zeeks gnawed their way to the top, becoming the world’s apex predator. Regular humans are now an endangered species, with isolated pockets struggling to survive in this new, unforgiving world.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action, sandbox and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player. There are 23 achievements to unlock.
How long it takes, and what that costs
The main story runs about 30 hrs. Completing everything takes closer to 50 hrs, roughly 1.7 times the length of the critical path.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-8600K, 16 GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 1060. A 16GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Install size is roughly 20GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
