The premise, in the publisher's words
After defeating the threat known as the Universal Will, Sol Badguy enjoys a brief moment of peace, until he hears shocking news. Asuka R. Kreutz, known as That Man, who left his mark as the worst criminal in all of history by creating the Gears and initiating the Crusades, has surrendered to the United States government. Asuka is also the man who once turned Sol into a Gear, and though Sol now seeks revenge on him, the two were once close friends. Uncertain of Asuka's true intentions and determined to settle the matter between them, Sol takes up his weapon once more.

It is played from a side view perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Multiplayer and Single player.
