The premise, in the publisher's words
A peculiar kingdom ruled by a king his named King Ging whose obsession with ginseng has long crossed into madness. (The pun is absolutely intentional.) His Majesty has decreed that the kingdom’s iconic potion shop must become the envy of every neighboring land. And of course, its only power source? The mystical roots of ginseng. Unfortunately, the last manager of the shop… left under rather strange circumstances. Rumor has it they mistook garlic for ginseng—an unforgivable crime! And by a twist of fate, you are now the newly appointed manager of this prestigious potion shop. Congratulations—you’re officially doomed! Your first day begins with a warm welcome from the shop’s ever-sarcastic…
