What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i3-2130 | Core i5-9600k (VR) or AMD FX 4300 | Ryzen 5 2600X (VR), 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB) | GTX 1660Ti (VR) | RTX 2060 (RT) // AMD RX 480 (8GB) | RX 590 (VR) | 6700XT (RT) // Intel Arc A380 (VR/RT). An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. It also needs around 100GB of free storage, which is a real consideration on a 512GB drive. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
F1 24 launched on 31 May 2024, within three weeks of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Hellblade II: Senua's Saga, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Nine Sols. It reviewed better than 1 of the 4. It arrived 4 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Hellblade II: Senua's Saga, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Nine Sols.
