In the thoroughly modern era of the 1920s, one meets all sorts of characters while traveling the vaudeville circuit. Lark (gender selectable) has seen acts enough—and cons enough—to place very little stock in either magic or fairytales. That is, until two beings straight from myth turn Lark's world topsy-turvy. Entangled in a selkie's daring heist and stuck ferrying a stolen siren prince back to sea, the question is no longer whether magic exists—but whether Lark can survive without it.
