What Enginefall is
Enginefall is an unreleased adventure game in development at Red Rover Interactive, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on Linux and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Unreal Engine 5.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Enginefall is a player-driven crafting shooter set on colossal, post-apocalyptic megatrains. Start in the tail alone or with friends as you scavenge, craft, and build your way to First Class. Seize better gear car by car, and escape with high-value loot to upgrade your personal home on the rails.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action, sandbox and survival. Available modes: Co-operative, Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) and Multiplayer.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel® Core™ i7-8700K / AMD® Ryzen™ 7 2700X, 16 GB RAM and NVIDIA® GTX™ 1080 / AMD® Radeon™ RX 5700. A 16GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
