Powered by a marvelous new form of energy: ectoplasmic energy. The densest core ever created. Capable of empowering nanites to complete incredibly complex and difficult tasks, it had started a new era of research and development. One that went horribly, horribly, wrong, deep in the bowels of that station. You were born after the core became unstable, after the radiation began to leak, after the experiments went awry, after the very bones of society started melting under the pressure of the onslaught. But humans adapt. Will you?
