The premise, in the publisher's words
DarkGems is a cartoony mining rogue-lite game set in the deep gemstone caverns. Journey through three randomly generated map kinds filled with zombies, ghosts and demons. Keep an eye on your rapidly ending energy supply - one cannot survive in the dark dungeon without a light.

It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are horror. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
