Set in the years just before World War II, the story follows William Augustus Grey, a rugged cargo pilot whose routine flight takes a terrifying turn when he passes through the fabled Bermuda Triangle and is suddenly torn from his world. He awakens in a strange parallel dimension known as the Void, a realm caught between worlds. There, Will discovers he is not alone: the Void is home to a menacing alien race called the Watchers, as well as a community of stranded humans known as the Survivors, who have long been locked in a desperate struggle against their otherworldly oppressors.
