What Colorbound is
Colorbound is an adventure game developed by Panpipe Studio and released in 2026. It was published by Whitethorn Games. It is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Godot.
The premise, in the publisher's words
In Colorbound, color is more than just hue. As Anku, an Aymara boy with a unique gift, you’ll harness the power of color to shape the environment itself, uncovering hidden paths to navigate challenging and complex puzzles.
How it plays
It is played from a side view perspective. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i3 or equivalent, 2 GB RAM and Any graphics card compatible with Vulkan 1.4 or higher (integrated or dedicated). At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 5GB.
What it launched against
Colorbound launched on 12 October 2026, within three weeks of Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. It arrived 6 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve.
