The premise, in the publisher's words
The universe has changed: someone is trying to steal a mysterious power given by the gods to help a past civilization survive. Free the planets of hostilities and find out what is happening. During your journey, you may encounter many people willing to help you out, upgrade your ship and equipment, or even pay you to do some quests. Asteroid's story mode is in constant development and each planet presents its own narrative arc. With the addition of other planets, there will also be the introduction of a new chapter of the story mode.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action, open world and science fiction. It supports multiplayer for up to 4 players online. Local play supports 1 players. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.

Asteroid launched on 26 August 2022, within three weeks of The Last of Us Part I, Cult of the Lamb, Metal: Hellsinger and Immortality. It arrived 2 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
