What Ascent: Rivals is
Ascent: Rivals is an unreleased indie game in development at Genun Games, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only. It runs on Unreal Engine 5.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Ascent Rivals is a competitive, skill-based racing game that fuses high-speed precision driving with intense combat. Sitting between the mechanical mastery of Trackmania and the competitive energy of Rocket League, players earn ARC for placement finishes and kills to customize their ship throughout the race. Currently in Alpha and available free on Steam, players can compete in multiplayer or chase top times on the global Time Trial leaderboards.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action and science fiction. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Battle Royale, Multiplayer and Single player.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-3470 | AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB RAM and GeForce GTX 1060 | Radeon RX 580. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 16GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
