The premise, in the publisher's words
Earth is dying. Humans are obsolete. Angels are coming back. Humanity created immortal synthetic beings to surpass the limits of flesh. They called them angels. Then they tried to destroy them. Two centuries after the angels vanished, something dark returns with them. Welcome to a universe where carbon, silicon, and dread collide beneath the will of an incomprehensible goddess.
